Overview
Sunland Springs Village is a 55+ golf retirement community located in the easternmost part of Mesa, Arizona. Homeowners with east-facing homes can enjoy a fabulous view of the beautiful and fabled Superstition Mountains, which are just a few minutes away.
This active adult community is a 900-acre development offering both regular detached homes and single-level “garden condos” all built around a 27-hole executive golf course.
The Sunland Springs Village HOA fees are among the lowest in the entire Phoenix area, yet they are still able to offer residents great amenities and facilities.
This is the fourth and newest active adult development by Farnsworth Homes. After completing three other 55+ retirement communities in the Mesa area (Dreamland Villa, Sunland Village and Sunland Village East), Farnsworth moved still farther east on Baseline Rd, and opened Sunland Springs Village.
In addition to all of the typical facilities and amenities that are popular at modern retirement communities, Sunland Springs Village offers miles of wide, clean streets and sidewalks, which are ideal for walking or bicycling. And the wide streets provide plenty of room for both cars and golf carts to share the road.
Sunland Springs Village Real Estate
Sunland Springs Village has regular single-family detached houses, as well as maintenance-free single-level townhomes that are often referred to as “condos” by the community. Both single family homes and townhomes are available on golf course lots, and the townhomes on golf course lots are often referred to as “golf condos” by the community.
Single level Garden Townhomes or Golf Condos offer maintenance-free “lock and leave” living with at least 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a 2-car garage. Sizes range from 1,064 SqFt up to 1,705 SqFt. Townhomes (or “condos”) have an additional HOA fee that includes front yard and exterior maintenance and insurance on the building and roof.
Pets are not allowed in most of the townhome sections, but are welcome in any of the regular detached homes.
About the East Mesa Area
Mesa is the third largest city in the state of Arizona, and covers a large geographic area. The Eastern-most and Northern-most areas of Mesa are the most recently developed, and where you’ll find most of the newer homes.
The community is close to the 60 and 202 freeways, making the area very accessible, so downtown Phoenix and Scottsdale Fashion Square are just 20-30 minutes away.
There are major shopping centers within one mile of Sunland Springs Village and even an IMAX theater complex. A major mall and shopping center, Superstition Springs, is only a 5-15 minute drive for most East and North Mesa communities.
