Sun Lakes Arizona Country Clubs
Sun Lakes has five golf courses, all of which are owned and operated by their respective HOAs and are only open to Sun Lakes residents and their guests. There is no, or very limited, public play allowed on the courses, although during the summer months, they will open up some tee times for the general public.
Any Sun Lakes resident can play at, or purchase annual or seasonal passes at any of the five courses, but residents within the course’s HOA get better rates.
Two regulation-length courses:
- Cottonwood – an 18-hole par 72 course
- Oakwood – a 27-hole par 72 regulation course (all three nines are par 36)
One mid-length course:
- Ironwood – an 18-hole par 67 course.
Two executive-length courses:
- Sun Lakes Country Club – an 18-hole par 60 course
- Palo Verde – an 18-hole par 62 course
HOA 1: SUN LAKES CC, par 60
A casual and fun experience with friends is the goal of this low-key course. After your round, stop in at Mulligan’s for a bite to eat, a drink with friends, and maybe a little entertainment.
HOA 2: COTTONWOOD, par 72
Cottonwood boasts a challenging but fair and well manicured par 72 Championship style golf course. Cottonwood golf course has five sets of tee boxes designed for golfers of all different abilities.
HOA 2: PALO VERDE, par 62
Palo Verde offers a challenging and fun executive golf course featuring four par fours, two par fives, and twelve par threes. Palo Verde has three tee boxes.
HOA 3: OAKWOOD, par 72
The Oakwood course is known for its three distinct (9-holes each) Keith Foster design & Forest Richardson renovation design – one parkland, one traditional link, and one navigating the lake.
HOA 3: IRONWOOD, par 67
Rated #7 nationally in short courses by GolfNow, Ironwood offers 5,100 yards of challenging golf, winding through lush grounds with two water features, two par-5’s, seven par 3’s, and nine par-4’s make for a fast, rewarding round of golf for players of all skill levels.
