Exciting things are happening at Sun City Festival in Buckeye, AZ!
A new sales center, new model homes, and nine more holes of golf have all recently been completed, and the new Saguaro Recreation Center is well under way.
Sun City Festival introduced itself to the 55+ active adult market in 2006, and since the day they opened their sales center, the community has continued to expand and grow at a record pace. As of now, close to 1,500 homes have been completed at Sun City Festival, and several hundred more are in varying degrees of construction.
The community opened in 2006 with 18 holes of golf at the Troon managed Copper Canyon Golf Club, and one stunningly beautiful 32,000 clubhouse, the Sage Recreation Center. They later added their softball field, pickleball complex, dog park, and a multi-million dollar crafts, art, and woodshop complex. The Indigo Grille also got a big enhancement with the addition of a huge covered outdoor seating and bar area.
As the community continues its growth, if feels more mature and demand soars. But Sun City Festival never feels stale because Del Webb knows how to really keep ramping up the WOW factor.
In January 2019, they closed their original model home and sales complex on the north side of Sun Valley Parkway, and opened a new sales center, and all new models on the south side of Sun Valley Parkway. These homes will continue to be substantially more expensive than the original series of homes because the views on the south side are fabulous – tucked right up against the base of the White Tank mountains, and sans all of the ugly views of the huge power lines that many homes on the north side of the community deal with.
Copper Canyon Golf Club has also opened nine more holes, so they are now a 27-hole course. The new nine runs along the base of the White Tank Mountains, and provides some exciting holes and really awesome views.
Along with the new sales center, new model home complex, and newly minted nine holes of golf, Del Webb is building a 2nd jaw-droppingly beautiful clubhouse – the new Saguaro Center. Construction is well underway for the new clubhouse, and it’s several months away from a grand opening, but you can see the virtual tour in the video.
